Nigerian talented singer and songwriter, Temilade Openiyi best known professionally by her stage name – Tems has won her first Grammy Awards.
She earned the award through the hit song she contributed to titled “Wait For You” by Future featuring Drake.
She won the award at the ongoing ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The 2022 song – “Wait For You” by Future featuring Tems and Drake was nominated in the Best Melody Rap Performance category along with other artistes including Jack Harlow “First Class”, Kendrick Lamar – “Die Hard,” Latto – “Big Energy (Live)”, DJ Khaled “Beautiful.”

In a viral social media video, Tems, who dressed in a white gown, was seen conversing with Roc Nation founder Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé.
The pre-Grammy brunch was held at a private residence in Bel-Air, Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, award-winning singer, Damini Ogbulu, known better as Burna Boy lost two nominations.
He lost the ‘Best Global Music Album’ and the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ categories.
