Davido recounts first time he met his wife
David Adeleke, better known by his stage as Davido, is a Nigerian famous singer who has shared the tale of how he met his wife, Chioma Avril Rowland, providing insight into the growth of their burgeoning romance.
At Babcock University, where Chioma was pursuing a degree in economics and Davido was pursuing a degree in music, the two initially crossed paths.
Davido provided his followers with a fascinating insight inside his daily life with a riveting documentary he co-produced with YouTuber and vlogger Tayo Aina.
The 43-minute film delves into the performer’s hectic schedule, which is marked by constant travel, brief rest stops, and leisure time spent in private planes that soar thousands of feet above sea level.
Davido was able to celebrate his love for his beloved wife, Chioma, in the intriguing documentary by reliving the story of how they first met and how he attempted to strike up a conversation with her during their first year of college.
He said: “I was in school for a year before I blew up. That was when I met my wife. I remember the day I saw her. I can never forget. I was in a Prado, and I looked behind, and I saw this girl walking. Just there with her bag, it was Chioma. I told Lat (Davido’s personal assistant), ‘Omo, I like that girl. Go and call that girl for me.”
The initial attempts to get in touch with Chioma, however, were unsuccessful since she didn’t answer. However, fate intervened, and she ultimately found her way to Lagos, where they reconnected.
