Ajebo hustlers discusses their music journey
They discussed their difficult road to popularity on the most recent episode of the Afrobeats podcast hosted by Shopsydoo.
Ajebo Hustlers, a Nigerian musical duo made up of Isaiah Precious and George Dandeson, have discussed their ascent to fame.
On the most recent episode of the Shopsydoo-hosted Afrobeats podcast, they admitted that getting famous wasn’t an easy process.
The Port Harcourt-born duo described how, years after they began their musical careers, some of their acquaintances had persuaded them to give up music because they weren’t originally earning a lot from it.
They remarked that before they made their breakthrough, they had to rely on the kindness of many family members and friends in their pursuit of success.
They also said that they once resided with K-Switch, the younger brother of musician D’banj.
“We squatted with K-Switch in 2016. I’m no playing. 2017 nothing was popping. It was 2018, we were still trying to push and then we made a record in 2019 with King Perry. I think we were squatting somewhere then.
“That time we were squatting because music was not working and you now have friends that are telling you, omo, thus music is not working, you sure say you try enter street,” They said.
