Dagrin’s brother, Trod reacts after being accused of abandoning his mum
Trod, a Nigerian artist and the late rapper Dagrin’s brother, has refuted charges of stealing royalties from his brother’s music.
Recently, a video appeared in which Dagrin’s mother, who is also Trod’s stepmother, begged Nigerians for financial assistance.
Dagrin’s mother’s living conditions alarmed Nigerians, who wondered who had been receiving profits from the late rapper’s tracks since his untimely death, leaving his family to suffer.
Some social media users chastised Trod for not being aware of the royalties and being accountable for the late rapper’s mother.
In reaction to the charges, Trod took to his own Twitter account to emphasize that he is unaware of the royalties.
He demanded that the Digital Music and Commerce Exchange Limited (DMCE), which he said had been receiving royalties since 2010, come forward.
