Adekunle Gold warned his colleagues against performing at OAU
Adekunle Gold, a popular Nigerian musician, has warned his colleagues not to attend concerts at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife, Osun state.

The official Twitter account of the OAU invited artists to organize events at the institution, promising nothing but enjoyment and a good time.
The invitation came in the aftermath of a tense incident at Lagos State University (LASU) in which singers including Odumodublvck and Bella Shmurda were assaulted by suspected cultists.
In response to the invitation from the OAU, Adekunle Gold accused them of lying and warned his colleagues not to listen to them. The artist then recalled an incident at the university in 2015 in which he was humiliated at his hotel after performing Sade, his only song at the time.
