Ayra Starr blows hot after Headies award win
Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, a Nigerian singer, has expressed her anger with the Headies prize organizers for failing to mention the prize category she won onstage.
I will never be grateful for winning a category that wasn’t even deemed fit to be announced on stage ! Best female artist na beans ? We work hard, every single one of us ! I’ve seen Tiwa record 4 hit songs in the same night , Tems breaths and lives for music , we didn’t deserve…

The 21-year-old singer, known for singles like ‘Rush’ and ‘Sability,’ was nominated in the Best Female Artiste category among other A-list singers including Tems, Simi, and Tiwa Savage, and she won.
However, at the awards ceremony on Sunday, September 3, in Atlanta, Georgia, the Best Female Artiste category was deleted from the onstage announcements, and Ayra Starr was not given with her award.
Infuriated by this error, Ayra took to Twitter to chastise the organizers for failing to recognize her and her fellow female artists who put in a lot of work.
She also stated her dissatisfaction with earning the prize owing to their dismissive attitude toward her.
