Okey Bakassi speaks about being approached by drug traffickers
Okey Bakassi, a veteran Nigerian comedian, has said that he has had offers to sell narcotics both in Nigeria and abroad.
Okey Bakassi revealed this in an interview with Channels TV, where he recounted how con artists and drug traffickers tried to entice him with enticing promises.
The Nollywood actor added that such propositions and transactions should be expected as a performer in Nigeria. Okey Bakassi claims that despite the lucrative nature of the drug trade, he turned down the offer out of respect for the law.
He also revealed how individuals involved would show up in a celebrity’s hotel room and start talking about drug sales as if it were a normal business that “everyone does.”
