A lawsuit is filed by Benjamin Mendy against Manchester City.

In regards to unpaid salaries, former Manchester City player Benjamin Mendy has filed a case against his previous employers.

The French international, who was not paid by the treble champions of the previous season, has chosen to sue them for millions of pounds. The 29-year-old, who was accused of rape and sexual assault in 2021, just filed a claim alleging an unauthorized deduction with the employment tribunal.

After being found not guilty on all charges early in 2023, Benjamin Mendy is suing Manchester City for the money he is owed until the conclusion of his contract in June 2023.

Benjamin Mendy, the former Manchester City footballer, is suing Nick De Marco KC (as instructed by Laffer Abogados, Madrid) for unlawful wage deductions. The multi-million-dollar lawsuit was confirmed by Sky Sports News in a statement. After Mr. Mendy was accused of multiple offenses for which he was ultimately found not guilty, Manchester City FC refused to pay him any salary at all from September 2021 until the conclusion of his contract in June 2023. A tribunal for employment will hear the claim.

For £52 million in 2017, Mendy moved from Monaco to City, the biggest price ever paid for a defender in the Premier League. Along with being a member of France’s World Cup-winning team in 2018, he won three titles with the Manchester club.

The claim made by Benjamin Mendy is valued at millions of pounds, according to a Sky Sports News statement. Manchester City FC did not pay Mr. Mendy any salary from September 2021, when he was accused with several infractions for which he was ultimately found not guilty, to the end of his contract in June 2023. The case will be heard by the Employment Tribunal.
