The 23-year-old returned to the United Kingdom from Brazil on Tuesday and willingly attended a police interview in Manchester on Thursday.

Investigations are still underway, but because Antony has not been charged with a crime in either Brazil or the United Kingdom, United have determined he can rejoin the squad.

He will not train on Friday and will not be available for Saturday’s Premier League encounter against Crystal Palace, but he will be available for selection in the future.

Three women, including Antony’s former lover Gabriela Cavallin, have accused him of sexuaI harassment. United said the decision to re-sign the Brazilian winger will be “reviewed.”

“Since allegations were first made in June, Antony has cooperated with police inquiries in both Brazil and the UK, and he continues to do so,” United said in a statement on Friday.

On September 10, United confirmed that Antony would be absent from the club due to charges of assault and abusive behavior.

Investigations in the United Kingdom and Brazil are still ongoing, but he has not been detained or charged in either country.

Antony had an interview with Greater Manchester Police on Thursday but was permitted to return home immediately.

Antony has not appeared for United since a 3-1 loss to Arsenal on September 3. He has not been called up to the Brazil national team for October games against Venezuela and Uruguay.
