Aston Villa agrees to sign Youri Tielemans
The Premier League team announced on Saturday that midfielder Youri Tielemans will join Aston Villa for the upcoming campaign.
The 26-year-old Belgian international is scheduled to join the team on July 1 once his deal with Leicester City expires.
Tielemans sought a new opportunity after Leicester was relegated last season, and he is now Aston Villa‘s first acquisition of the summer transfer window.
By scoring the game-winning goal against Chelsea in the FA Cup final in 2021, Tielemans established himself as a local hero at the King Power Stadium.
Tielemans began his playing career with Belgian club Anderlecht before transferring to AS Monaco in 2017 and joining Leicester two years later.
Aston Villa earned a spot in the Europa Conference League because to their seventh-place result in the Premier League last year.
