Eniola Badmus breaks her silence after Tiktoker who defamed her
Eniola Badmus, a popular actress, has spoken out after TikTok user Ego Okoye was sentenced by a Lagos federal high court.
After being arraigned on Wednesday, August 2, Ego was convicted guilty of the offenses made against her by a federal high court. On count one, Nwakego was sentenced to one year in prison with the possibility of a N50,000 fine. On count two, she received a two-year prison term with the possibility of a N100,000 fine.
Eniola Badmus issued a message on her Instagram page, addressing individuals who always had nasty things to say about her and her decisions without providing evidence.
According to her, celebrities were real beings who were wounded by bad comments, which were sometimes impossible to ignore.
She cautioned individuals to use their free expression properly, as defamation was a serious matter with substantial legal and societal ramifications.
