The Brazil international has the opportunity to win a title during his first month at Chelsea and might make his Chelsea debut on Saturday against Palmeiras in the Club World Cup quarterfinals in Philadelphia.
“I watched the Premier League as a child, and Chelsea was a trophy-winning team. Therefore, the only thing you can focus on when you join Chelsea is winning trophies,” he remarked.
“Every competition, you have to think, ‘I play for Chelsea and that is my ambition’.”
Although Pedro is believed to have solely wanted to play for Chelsea, Newcastle was also interested in him and had a proposal of about £50 million rejected.
Watford will receive 20% of the profit from this transaction after selling Pedro to Brighton for £35 million in 2023. Brighton and Chelsea get along well, and Brighton has a sell-on clause in their contract.
Pedro is seen by the Blues as a flexible forward who can play on the front line or as a No. 9. He made 70 appearances and scored 30 goals.
