Spyro said in an interview with the Honest Bunch podcast that the song’s lyrics were a way for him to absorb deception, since the devil preferred suggestions.
In response to this statement, Joey Akan turned to Twitter and criticized Spyro for being a hypocrite who praised Jesus while dining at the altar of mammon.
Spyro’s biggest hit, he claims, was with a Wordly-adjacent artist, Tiwa Savage, rather than with another gospel performer like himself.
He went on to say that the singer had no trouble singing at wordly conventions or being signed to a wordly record label, but he was continuously critical of his peers’ professional performance.
Spyro should try to always mind his business is not our fault that will Nigeria accept shallipopi sound.
Lyrics or not lyrics I Dey jam his sound on stead.
