Manchester United is set to sign Altar Bayindir
According to reporters, Manchester United are close to signing custodian Altay Bayindir and letting Dean Henderson to join Crystal Palace.
United are expected to sign Bayindir from Fenerbahce for roughly €4.9 million ($5.29), while Henderson is close to joining Palace on a permanent basis for £20 million.
Bayindir has already had his medical and is ready to sign once Henderson’s relocation is complete.
Henderson was put to the bench for United’s 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and he then proceeded to London to have a physical and negotiate personal terms. On Saturday, Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman was in the stands at Old Trafford.
Bayindir, who has five Turkish caps, will replace first-choice André Onana, who came from Inter Milan earlier this summer.
According to newsmen, United are also looking into adding a left-back before Friday’s transfer deadline to cover for the departure of Luke Shaw.
Shaw may be sidelined until November due to a muscle issue, while Tyrell Malacia may be out until November due to a knee ailment.
third option Brandon Williams has joined Ipswich Town on loan after being part of the squad during the preseason tour of the United States. Diogo Dalot, normally a right-back, was forced to play on the left against Forest.
