Moment Wizkid consoled his first son at his mother’s wake-keep

Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, the singer’s mother, died on August 18, 2023, in London. Despite keeping a quiet profile after her death, the singer recently went to Nigeria for her funeral.
On Wednesday, August 11, a candlelight parade was organized in her honor, followed a wake-keep and tributes ceremony on Thursday at Lagos’ Victoria Island district.
The singer appeared heartbroken and saddened by his mother’s passing during the wake-keeping ceremony. He was also photographed sobbing while sitting next to Jada Pollock, his partner and the mother of two of his sons.
Another video that has surfaced online shows Wizkid standing up from his seat to console his 12-year-old son Boluwatife, who was greatly impacted by his grandmother’s death.
