Neymar eyes PSG exit
Neymar wants to rejoin Barcelona this summer, but there is an internal debate at the club, according to ESPN, with some arguing in favor of the move and others, including coach Xavi Hernandez, believing the Brazil international would not fit into this Barca team.
Club sources refuse to rule out the idea of a return for the PSG star, who left Barcelona in 2017, but warn that it would be a difficult deal, both financially and due to disagreements about his appropriateness.
ESPN recently reported that Neymar, 31, would be thrilled to return to Barcelona, and insiders say he has discussed the notion again in recent days.
However, the likelihood of a transfer is unlikely due to the club’s financial difficulties and Xavi’s opposition to his return.
With only six days until the start of the 2023-24 league season, Barcelona has been unable to register new recruits Ilkay Gündogan, Oriol Romeu, and Iigo Martnez, as well as players who have recently renewed their contracts with LaLiga.
As a result, they will only have 13 players available for the encounter against Getafe on Sunday. In the following days, Barcelona hopes to finalize the departures of Franck Kessié to Saudi Arabia and Ousmane Dembélé to PSG, bringing the total to 11.

Xavi’s aim is to bring in a right-back and an offensive midfielder, and while Dembélé’s departure would free up space for Neymar, the coach believes the Brazilian is not the ideal fit for his club.
