Nigerian rapper Yung6ix shades Davido
Rapper Yung6ix, a Nigerian living in the US, claims that he became famous before Davido, another well-known Nigerian musician.
The performer poked fun at Davido for leaving him off of his list of up-and-coming youngsters in the Nigerian music scene.
Remember how Davido said he and Wizkid were among the first young Nigerian musicians to achieve fame?
He and Wizkid, he claimed, were the pioneer musicians who paved the way for the popularity and global recognition of Afrobeat music before other musicians, whom he referred to as “new cats,” got on board.
In response, Yung6ix stated that he, Wizkid, and Olamide were the young people at the time who paved the road for others.

He said “David, David. How many times I called your name?
You know I got nothing but love for you, my boy. But let’s get it straight. It was Wizkid, Olamide and Young6ix before it was you. We were the youngins of that time.
You want to skip me from the legacy?”
