Adunni Ade, meanwhile, has spoken out after being accused in public of owing her late colleague Murphy Afolabi N250,000.
According to prior reports, the late Murphy Afolabi’s funeral committee criticized Adunni Ade for the purported debt.
Some Islamic clerics claiming to be part of the burial committee stated that Adunni Ade owed the deceased N250,000 and encouraged her to refund it during the 8-day Fidau Prayer held in his honor.
They asserted that before to his untimely passing, Murphy had wired the funds to Adunni Ade as payment for a part in his planned film.
Adunni Ade finally addressed the debt claims in a statement released by her team, dispelling rumors that she was owed by the late actor.
She claimed that in 2021, Murphy Afolabi had contacted her about a position and paid her N150,000.
She was unable to complete the project owing to the passing of her brother, and when the actor sought to come to another agreement with her, she returned his money.
Adunni provided images of her bank balance to support her assertions, which revealed that she had received N150,000 from Murphy in July 2021 and had returned it to him in October 2021.
