Peter Okoye claims ownership to the new song “Winning.”
The long-running conflict between Peter and Paul Okoye, who were once part of the well-known band Psquare, has taken a new turn.
An audio recording purportedly featuring Peter Okoye and songwriter Calypso60music coaching Paul Okoye on his vocals for the song Winning has been made public.
Peter posted a statement explaining his behavior along with the clip on social media. “Anyone who spreads false information about me and I have evidence will face my defense,” he said.
In the meantime, the audio seems to refute Paul Okoye’s assertion that he is the song’s only author and proprietor. “You said you wrote the song, but how come Calypso60music and I are telling you what to sing?” Peter asked, challenging Paul’s assertion.
Peter further disclosed that he received a legal letter from Paul and their older brother Jude Okoye requesting that Winning be taken down from music streaming services. “I will defend my rights till the end,” Peter declared, vowing to fight against this. Together with Calypso60music, I wrote WINNING.
Lastly, the latest development further intensifies the long-standing feud between Peter and Paul Okoye, leaving fans concerned about the prospects of a P-Square reunion.
