Super Eagles Coach Chelle Invites 35 Players to CHAN Training Camp.

A 35-man preliminary roster for the Super Eagles B team has been announced by head coach Eric Chelle in advance of the 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN) in 2025.

Papa Daniel Mustapha and Captain Junior Nduka, who are both regarded as essential to Nigeria’s domestic national team preparations, are on the list.

Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda will host the CHAN competition in August.

Only players participating in their home leagues are allowed to enter the event, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, announced the list in a statement on Friday.

Along with a number of well-known players from the Nigerian Premier Football League, forward Anas Yusuf is featured extensively.

The team includes defenders Waliu Ojetoye, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Kabiru Mohammed, and Uzondu Harrison in addition to first-choice goalie Henry Ani.

Forwards Sunday Megwo, Adamu Abubakar, and Godwin Obaje were also picked, as were midfielders Haddi Haruna and Saviour Isaac.

Defensive players Sodiq Ismaila and Stephen Manyo Egbe have been called, along with keepers Kayode Bankole and Ebenezer Harcourt.

Adam Aminu, a midfielder, and Temitope Vincent and Atule Joseph, both forwards, were also called up.

Nigeria, CHAN runners-up in 2018, are placed in Group D of the 19-nation competition.
