MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Erik ten Hag has declined to say whether he wants Mason Greenwood back at Manchester United after the club decided to part ways with him.

Greenwood will leave Old Trafford after a six-month investigation into his behaviour, United confirmed on Monday.

Ten Hag was asked if he backed the 21-year-old’s reinstatement into the squad during a press conference on Friday, but he declined to comment.

Ten Hag was also questioned if he had spoken to Greenwood personally during the club’s internal probe, which began after the footballer’s charges were dropped, but the Dutchman opted to remain silent once more.

Ten Hag is preparing his team for Nottingham Forest’s visit to Old Trafford on Saturday, but he is missing Mason Mount and Luke Shaw due to injuries.

The Dutchman will have to find a replacement for left-back Tyrell Malacia, who is also injured.

Rasmus Hjlund has resumed training with the club following a back injury, but he will not play against Forest.
