Tyson Fury responded to Anthony Joshua‘s Saudi Arabian Friday night triumph over Francis Ngannou.

In the opening round, Joshua stunned the former UFC heavyweight champion with a vicious right hand, capping an impressive performance against the Cameroonian.

Although Ngannou was able to stand again, Joshua ended the fight by flooring him with two more powerful blows.

But Fury, who was observing from the ring, praised Joshua for an outstanding performance.

“After the first in Saudi Arabia, me and Usyk have an undisputed world heavyweight championship coming up,” Fury declared.

“He [Joshua] recently had a show fight in Saudi Arabia, which is great for the show, but in real boxing, Usyk and I are fighting for the top two spots in the world’s undisputed championship.

Thus, for the time being, [the altercation with AJ] is put on hold. Fantastic performance by AJ, but regrettably, I have more important matters to attend to in Usyk on May 18, followed by a rematch in October.

“So, after that, if he is still available, and I’m still available, let’s get it on.”

Fury is set to take on Oleksandr Usyk on May 18 in their historic, undisputed showdown, and the winner could face Joshua in the future.
