Why Hilda Baci prefers Nigerian Jollof to Ghanian Jollof
Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, a former Guinness World Record holder and chef, stated during a podcast with 90sbabyshow that Nigerian jollof is superior to Ghana jollof.
According to Hilda, her victory in a jollof faceoff battle against a Ghanaian cook indicates that Nigerian jollof is superior.
Adding that the Ghanaian chef she was competing against made his finest portrayal of Ghanaian jollof throughout the competition, but it was simple.
The Nigerian cook who rose to prominence after breaking the Guinness World Record stated that she had tried Ghanaian jollof before, but it could not compare to Nigerian jollof.
Nigerians, in her perspective, are very intentional about building tastes, such as stock and spice, to claim the quality of the jollof mix.
She went on to say that Ghanaians prefer to cook the majority of their jollof rice with paste rather than jollof mix and that they do not smoke their jollof.
