Why Mayorkun hid his mother’s identity for years
Superstar singer Mayorkun of Nigeria has disclosed the rationale for his long-standing choice to conceal the identity of his mother, well-known actress Toyin Adewale.
According to the Betty Butter crooner, he kept his mother’s name a secret for a long time since he didn’t want special treatment anywhere.
In a conversation with actor and podcaster Taymesan, Mayorkun made this revelation. He also said that during his time at the institution, he never told other students about his mother’s success as a movie actress.
He told the story of how his mother had come to visit him at school carrying food, and how he had hurried to her to save a scene.
